Dr. Philipp Gorris

Research Associate

My work is broadly focused on sustainable development and environmental governance. I am particularly interested in the factors that shape dynamics in integrated collaborative approaches to governance, and the effects of these dynamics on the capacity of governance to develop environmentally sustainable and socially just policies. Moreover, I study sources of resilience to environmental change in resource dependent communities.

Research Interests:

  • Integrated Approaches to Environmental Governance
  • Governance Networks
  • Livelihood Resilience
  • Protected Areas & Spatial Planning
  • Research Methods
  • Sustainable Development
